High School Musical On Ice

We took the kids to the Disney on Ice: High School Musical last night. They really enjoyed it! Kaylee was so excited she couldn't stop kissing and hugging us. Her favorite song is "Bet on it, Bet on it, Bet on it" (Just one "Bet On It" is the actual title). Karyna really enjoyed it as well. Tyler quietly enjoyed it, but mostly thought all the overly-priced paraphernalia was what interested him the most!

Times Have Changed

Just thought I'd post this little video. First, to show how cute Tayden is with the computer, and Second, to show how times have changed. I don't think Karyna even knew what a computer was when she was that age. Notice he has to use both hands to move and click the mouse. The one that amazed us is that he figured out how to drag and drop. Pretty smart kid! I also just loved his facial expressions while he played.

Happy Birthday, Karyna!

I'm official!

So, with the help of my friend Jean, I now have official business cards. I just love them. Here's the front and back:

Kaylee's Learning to Spell!

So Kaylee has this game she plays on Nick Jr and she was spelling words for me.
She said, "Mom, C - A - T spells cat!" And then the next one was "Mom, R - U - G spells... carpet!"

Valentine's Day!

I'm a little slow on this, but I did want to post a little bit about our Valentine's Day.
First we had a pink breakfast which went over okay with the older kids but Kaylee wasn't having it!

I finally convinced her that she needed to eat before I would give her the Valentine's Day gift. Isn't that so nice of me? Then they each got a little candy gift from me. Then after the older kids went the school the little ones got to go to a party with me. It was a lot of fun! Then they all had dentist appointments! Yeah! How fun!!!! So since we didn't get home from that until almost 7:00 we ordered a heart shaped pizza from Pizza Hut.

As for me and Seth, we are celebrating it another night, which I will have to post then, but he did give me this very LARGE heart shaped box of chocolates!

Apparently he was listening to me the other day when I told him I always thought those were so cool when I was a kid. So it was a pretty busy but fun day!

Tayden cracks us up!

We were eating dinner last night and Kaylee kept touching Tayden's ears. Well, it was bugging him, so Seth told Kaylee to quit playing with Tayden's ears. And Tayden said, "Yeah, they're not a TOY!" Seth and I got a great laugh out of that one.

If you can't beat 'em, join 'em!

Well, as hard as it is to believe, I went and played in the snow today. I know, I know. But I couldn't be left out!!!! We made the "biggest snowman ever!"

Well, it isn't the ONLY "biggest snowman ever!". This one is pretty close that they made about 2 years ago. (I don't know how she is still wearing the same coat, but it fits!)

Tune Tag

I was tagged by Alicia to pick my favorite songs, here was the assignment:

The rules of this tag are simple...pick 5 songs from your Music Collection. Whether its' from your iTunes, CDs, online, whatever...the music you listen to. And then explain WHY. Why you love it. Post your picks and tag a few people of your own. Simple right?

And here are my picks:

I Would Do Anything for Love This one takes me back to highschool. It reminds me of the bus rides in Italy to our basketball games.

One More Try Once again, this takes me back to when Seth and I were dating. It reminds me of him!
The movie is only a bonus. It was the video with the best sound.

Piano Man This also takes me back to college. I guess they just don't make songs like they used to. This has always been a favorite.

You Raise Me Up Like my sisters, I like Josh Groban as well, and this is one of my favorites!

Jim Brickman I've always loved his piano music. I was reminded of him, when we got our piano and Seth started playing some of his stuff.

Ahhh, the joys of Potty Training

Just thought I'd tell a funny story. Yesterday we officially started potty training Tayden. He did really well, for the record. Then this morning when he woke up I said, "Ok, we need to put underwear back on and go potty in the toilet all day like we did yesterday. You are going to be a big boy again today!" This was his response, "Ummmm... no fanks!" And then he just walked off like that was totally acceptable.

Thanks, Karyna!

In light of this past week, I thought I would post a letter from Karyna. I miscarried this week and the day I found out was a little difficult, not only for me, but also for Karyna. This letter really touched me and made me realize how much she cares about me and is in tune to how other people are feeling. She gave this to me that day. It's a little hard to read so this is what it says (grammer and all):

Dear Mom,
I have been seeing you cry every time you get on the phone with somebody sertant. I am really nervise and worried when I see you crying on the phone. I have started to cry and talk to myself to calm myself down when you cry. If there is something wrong please tell me that there is something wrong and then I will probably not be so worried. I know you don't want me to worry about it but, for some rison I can't not worry about it. If you have any questions on why I worry just email me or write a note to me. Thanks for all you do for me.
Love,
Karyna Marie

Our Hot Dates!

This past Saturday, Seth took Karyna to the Daddy / Daughter Dance and I took Tyler to the Mother / Son Dance. We went out to dinner all together first and then split up. It was really fun. I think the kids really enjoyed the time together. Unfortunately Seth didn't have a camera with him at the dance, but here are some pictures of the night!

I couldn't get Tyler to go any dressy-er than a sweater!

And here's Kaylee because she was feeling a little left out.

And this is Tyler and me at the dance. They had a magic show during the dance that was really good. We had a great time.
