Detroit Zoo

While Melanie and Jenna were here we took a trip to the zoo. It was a lot of fun. I think everyone's favorite part was the Polar Bear exhibit. We walked through this area where we could see the polar bears walking around and playing in the water. Then you go around and underneath to a tunnel that goes through the water. The polar bears were swimming all around us. At one point they were about a foot away from us (with glass separating us, of course). Another time one practically sat on our heads! Here's the scrapbook page Karyna and I came up with.
There will be more animal pages to come!

A Day at the Beach
These pictures were the kind that just needed to be scrapbooked. My sister Melanie and her daughter Jenna came to visit this week and we've had a great time. Today we went to Kensington Lake.

FHE
As long as I'm on the computer, I might as well post our latest FHE. We had a great time going to the cannery. Unfortunately we had to leave out Kaylee and Tayden because it would have been difficult to get anything done, but Karyna and Tyler had fun and were alot of help. We were able to can 126 #10 cans and then picked up another 50 or more cans of prepacked stuff! It feels good to be prepared. Don't we look so cute in our hair nets?
Other Random Posts
So, I feel like all my posts are catch up on the previous weeks stuff, but well, welcome to my life. Busy, Busy, Busy! These are all of Tayden, so think of it as a Tribute to Him on his 3rd Birthday.

The other day Tayden got in trouble and I put him in the dining room. After a little while he climbed under the table and fell asleep.
And this is what my sweet little baby looks like after a night of camping with Dad. It was the ward Father and Son's Campout and the mosquitoes were having a party. He looks like he has chicken pox!

Lots of Stuff!
We have been super busy lately. So busy, I haven't had time to blog. So here is one big SUPER post to catch up.
First of all, I got to go on a field trip with Karyna and we went to an old schoolhouse. The kids were supposed to dress up like that time period and tour the grounds. They also got to go into the schoolhouse and spend an hour playing school like they would have back in the "old days". Everyone played the part, including the teacher with her stick and dunce cap. It was really enjoyable spending the day with Karyna.
Karyna also just finished her Dream Girls play. It was so good. She had a couple solos and I was so proud of her for singing in front of such a big audience. DVD coming soon!
Lastly, we just went camping at Silver Lake near Lake Michigan. The kids had a great time. Tayden's favorite part was the light house, but he was really upset that they wouldn't let him go up one more level. He thought he was big enough and should get to go where the light was, but they didn't let us up there. There was plenty to do, though. The kids got to do some racing in their own car. By this point, Tayden was pretty wiped out, explaining his tired face, but he actually loved going fast. Somehow I missed getting a picture of Karyna. Oops! I also didn't get pictures of the sand dunes, but a friend did, so they will come later. But we did go to the dunes. The kids had a great time playing in the biggest sand box in the world! As we were leaving we got to go on a dune buggy. Once again, Tayden loved going fast! It was a great weekend.
