I realized that we took a 3 week trip to Utah and I haven't blogged a single thing about it. I was waiting for the perfect time I guess. Well, that will never come, so here's a little bit about our trip. On the way out, we tried something new. We started in the evening, drove through the night,
and then got a hotel in the morning. We spent the day at the Great Platte River Road Archway Monument.
We have a ton of pictures, but since there are so many, I'm planning to scrap it. Then in the evening we took off again for another long night. Thanks to "The Office" we were able to stay awake.
Once we got to Utah, we relaxed at my sister Rachel's house for the morning and then went straight to the EJ Morgan Family Reunion. We had a great time catching up with family we hadn't seen in quite a while.
The day after the Reunion we headed up to Logan to stay with the Grandma and Grandpa Cook. While there we spent a few days at Bear Lake (a family favorite)
and then attended the Jenks Reunion in Blackfoot. Once again, seeing family we hadn't seen in a while.
From there, we drove up to Twin Falls and Seth and I parted ways :( So sad. This is what I saw:
And this is what he saw:
Unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures while in Twin Falls because Seth had the camera in Puerto Rico. I'm waiting for my sisters to email some to me. hint hint.
So after a week apart, we were together again and started our journey back! This time time we decided to take I-90. It added quite a bit of time, but it allowed us to see Yellowstone National Park:
and Old Faithful: (it was evening, so the pictures didn't come out as well as I had hoped)
From Yellowstone we drove through the night to reach Mount Rushmore by morning.
I think the kids really enjoyed this. I know I did. While we were there, we got to see some mountain goats.
After Rushmore it was a long drive into the sunset! We got home around 8:00 the next morning.

I'm impressed with your ability to summarize three FULL weeks. Wish we could have seen more of you while you were here. Next year, right?
It looks like you guys had so many amazing adventures! We sure miss you all, your kids have gotten so big, and so darn cute!
So fun! I love that you love The Office! Wish we could have hung out more...guess I will just have to come visit you in Michigan!
I know it is hard to make that trip but we so appreciate spending time with you and the kids. I even enjoyed the short time with Seth. By the way, amazing pianist, what is it he can't do? YOur kids do really well with that long drive, at least I can say that when I'm looking from a distance.
I know that was a long trip, but we are so glad that you came and we got to spend time with you. Diddo to Rachel, impressive summary.
Looks like a great trip Carrie...why did you and Seth have to seperate for a week?
