Seth came up with a great idea for scripture reading. So, for FHE last night, this is what we made. The kids drew all the people and Seth made the map. I was there for support! Anyway, we are going to try and keep up with making the people as we read the Book of Mormon and use the map to give the kids an idea of what is happening and where.
This picture shows how Laban is still in Jerusalem with his head cut off! The brown thing below him is the tent they lived in while in the wilderness.
And this is Nephi and his family happily settled in the promised land. We had a shipped docked in the ocean, but that was Tayden's assignment and he wasn't willing to let us poke a hole through it to put on the board.
I know the pictures are hard to see, so it would be well worth your time to click on them for a close-up. I think they are pretty funny! The kids did a good job trying to show the different personalities. My favorite is Lamen and Lemuel with their angry faces!

Wow. I'm impressed. You guys are always so creative with your FHEs. Nice work.
Love that idea...kids are really visual and I think it helps for them to be able to see what's going on...great job Seth! (and Carrie:)hehe
I love all your awesome FHE ideas. You guys are so creative.
Sounds like and looks like a great FHE.
What an awesome idea! We are going to try that as well!
What a great visual for FHE and it contains involvment. Thanks for sharing a great idea.
How do you get so creative? It must be Seth. Such a good idea though! Tayden cracks me up, now if he would just stop pooping his pants when he comes to play we could be friends. Koryna was so fun to hang out with though. Seriously, she talked my ear off & I loved it. She is a sweet kid. Sorry if I cant spell your kids names right? That's what you get for being so fancy! ...alison
